About the Study: In this study, we will investigate if the study medicine called ‘ziltivekimab’ can reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and death, from cardiovascular causes in people with inflammation in their blood vessels.
What does the study involve?: By joining the study, you will become part of an international community of study participants across 32 countries and areas with direct access to care from qualified healthcare professionals for up to 4 years. You will need to receive an injection of ziltivekimab or placebo (‘dummy’ medication – that does not have any study medicine – which is given for comparison) once a month, and attend visits with the clinic doctor for up to 4 years, as well as receive support, health and lifestyle advice from your study staff.
Who can participate?: You may qualify to participate in the study if you are 18 years of age or older and have had a stroke or heart attack, or have insufficient blood flow in your legs, or you have kidney disease which does not require dialysis or a transplant, and you are able to attend regular clinic visits and receive phone calls over a period of up to 4 years.
Where is the study taking place?: The study is being conducted at our Hollywood, Weston, and Boynton offices.
